CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Performics, a leading global performance marketing agency, today continues its tradition of community service with their Global Performance Day. The network of offices will join together for a 24-hour global volunteer event on June 27. The initiative gets employees out of the office, into their respective communities, doing good, and sharing local experiences with their 1000+ fellow employees around the world.
Performics, a Publicis Groupe agency under the ZenithOptimedia brand, has 39 offices in 32 countries. Employees in each of those markets will support their communities in a variety of ways – from feeding the hungry and building homes to environmental sustainability programs and teaching small NGOs the tricks of the digital media trade.
“Performics was built on a culture of service and giving back to our communities,” said Worldwide CEO Michael Kahn. “Making a difference in the lives of others isn’t just a platitude, but rather a core value, so we give our employees time out of the office to support projects that will improve the lives of their neighbors and bring them together as a team,” Kahn concluded.
Last year Performics unified all disparate volunteer efforts with their inaugural Global Performance Day as a way to build a common culture. During a period of rapid global expansion for the agency, it is but one example of efforts to drive cohesion around the worldwide network. In the past year the company has opened nearly a dozen new offices, each of which will be participating in Global Performance Day for the first time today.
Highlights from the 2014 Global Performance Day service projects include:
- Dubai will be spending the day at one of Saher Sheikh’s Adopt-a-Camp sites, feeding a labor camp of more than 800 workers;
- Czech Republic teams are providing physical repairs (painting, planting, minor repairs) to the “crisis center” at Proxima Sociale. This is an organization that provides housing, training and counseling to troubled youth.
- Mexico and Vietnam are collecting books to enhance community and student libraries. In Mexico the beneficiary is the high school library in Chalco, one of the poorest suburbs of Mexico City.
- The Performics headquarters in Chicago is promoting five different projects with groups including St. Leo’s Campus for Veterans, the Elliott Donnelly Youth Center and the Chicago Lighthouse for the Blind.
