SALT LAKE CITY--(BUSINESS WIRE)--SpinGo, a platform for finding and promoting events, has announced raising $2 million in a Series A round of funding, bringing the total amount raised to $6 million, including $4 million in seed and angel funding. Strategic investors include Josh James, Rick Alden, Todd Pedersen, Alan Hall, and Greg Warnock.
SpinGo works between their network of entertainment media partners and event promoters to market events to local, targeted audiences. SpinGo provides partners a free widget, or full-page embeddable event guide, and provides local or national event promoters a customizable network across which to promote their events.

Across their partner network, SpinGo’s audience has grown to more than 55 million, and publicly submitted events have consistently increased – trending toward 22,000 for June. While submitting an event is free, over 60,000 events have received paid promotion to featured positions. Revenue has grown more than 1,600 percent over the last 13 months, correlating with the rise of partner contracts from 190 to more than 1000 in the same period. The self-sustaining system of providing media partners with local event content, and event promoters with targeted exposure, has been key in SpinGo’s success.
