NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Business communications firm Gibbs & Soell, Inc. has made key hires to significantly expand integrated media capabilities that will enhance news coverage and sponsored content results for its clients. Catherine Carlson Kadar has been appointed media relations director; Jeri Moore and Emily David have joined as specialists in search engine optimization/search engine marketing and social media, respectively. The scope of responsibilities for each extends across the entire agency.

Carlson Kadar brings more than a decade of agency media relations and account management experience. She was most recently an account director with Waggener Edstrom Communications, where she led public relations programs for Microsoft, Verizon Business, BMC Software, Toshiba America Consumer Products, and Honeywell Aerospace. Prior to that, she oversaw media relations at two New York PR agencies and secured national media placements for clients in the professional/financial services, technology and media industries. Earlier she was a print reporter based in New York and South Florida. Carlson Kadar earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Television, Radio and Film from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University, and a Master of Science degree in Journalism from The Graduate School of Journalism at Columbia University.
In her new position, Carlson Kadar provides Gibbs & Soell clients with counsel and support on messaging, storytelling, audience development and news placement.
Moore joins the agency from TMP Worldwide, where she was an SEM/SEO analyst and managed search campaigns across multiple pay-for-click advertising platforms. Previously she was a sales analyst at Groupon and a media planner at SBC Advertising in Columbus, Ohio. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication from The Ohio State University and is certified in Google Analytics.
David held marketing positions at Project Leadership Associates and Peak Performance Physical Therapy, as well as internships at Hewitt Associates and the Columbia Missourian. She earned a Bachelor of Journalism degree in Print and Digital News from the University of Missouri.
Moore and David join the firm’s digital strategy group, which serves as an agency-wide resource for social monitoring, analytics, media buying and lead generation.
