The two-day event, held from Tuesday, May 6 to Wednesday, May 7, will feature a stunning floral wall and a decadent chocolate wall as a celebration of moms leading up to Mother’s Day.
Vanderbilt Hall will be transformed into a beautiful lounge space featuring the two large walls that represent two of mom’s favorite gifts – flowers and chocolates. One wall is adorned with over 15,000 roses and fuji mums, inspired by a Mother’s Day favorite from ProFlowers, the All the Frills bouquet. The other wall is covered in over 600 pounds of chocolate chips and sprinkles, inspired by the toppings on the Shari’s Berries Mother’s Day Strawberries. Standing at 16 feet high by 32 feet wide, the walls will serve as a memorable backdrop for pictures. Anyone can stop by Vanderbilt Hall in Grand Central Terminal to take their picture against these grand walls with a sign dedicated to their moms. They can then share the picture on social media using the hashtag #AintMomGrand, and send it to their mom as a token of appreciation for all that she is.
Visitors to the event will be able to indulge in decadent, gourmet dipped strawberries from Shari’s Berries during lunch time and evening rush hours, 11am – 1pm and 5pm – 6pm, and take away a fresh, colorful rose from ProFlowers throughout event hours.
