CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Littelfuse, Inc., the global leader in circuit protection, today announced it has been named one of the 2014 “Best Places to Work in Illinois.” This is the third consecutive year Littelfuse has received this prestigious ranking. The awards program is promoted by The Daily Herald Business Ledger in partnership with the Human Resources Management Association of Chicago (HRMAC), the Illinois State Chamber of Commerce and the Workforce Boards of Metropolitan Chicago, and managed by Best Companies Group.
“It is an honor to once again be recognized along with other leading companies in Illinois in the Best Places to Work ranking. The positive feedback from Littelfuse associates highlights our efforts to continuously support their professional development and make Littelfuse a great place to work,” said Gordon Hunter, Chief Executive Officer of Littelfuse. “The growth and success of our company is a result of the contributions and expertise of our associates. We truly appreciate their hard work and dedication.”
The statewide survey and awards program was designed to identify, recognize and honor the best places of employment in Illinois, benefiting the state's economy, workforce and businesses. The 2014 Best Places to Work in Illinois list is made up of 26 companies in the small employer category (15-99 U.S. employees), 23 companies in the medium employer category (100-499 U.S. employees), and 16 companies in the large employer category (500 or more U.S. employees).
The Best Places to Work in Illinois ranking was determined by a two-part process. The first part consisted of evaluating workplace policies, practices and demographics, worth approximately 25% of the total evaluation. The second part consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience, worth approximately 75% of the total evaluation. Best Companies Group managed the process, analyzed the data and used its expertise to determine the final rankings.
Littelfuse will be recognized and honored at the Best Places to Work in Illinois awards ceremony, coordinated by The Daily Herald Business Ledger, on May 12. The final rankings will be announced at the event. Littelfuse will also be profiled in a special publication by The Daily Herald Business Ledger on June 23.
