Dr. Fernandez, who most recently was president of Cleveland Clinic Florida, will lead Baptist Health Medical Group, a network of more than 140 employed physicians in numerous locations. He serves on numerous boards, including the Community Foundation of Broward, the Orange Bowl Committee and the World Presidents’ Organization.

“We are pleased to welcome Dr. Fernandez to our team. His wealth of experience in physician leadership will continue to evolve Baptist Health Medical Group and its focus on providing high-quality patient care in an integrated delivery system,” said Dr. Ziffer, who will also oversee Baptist Health Quality Network, the clinically integrated network for the health system.

A luminary physician in the field of cardiac imaging, Dr. Ziffer is a founding member and past president of the Society of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography and past vice president of the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology.
