(UPC Insurance or the Company) (NASDAQ:UIHC), announced today the commencement of an underwritten public offering of $50.0 million of its common stock, subject to market and other conditions. The underwriters will have an option to purchase up to an additional $7.5 million of common stock from UPC Insurance. UPC Insurance intends to use the net proceeds from this offering for general corporate purposes, including statutory capital in support of its growth.
