ACTON, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Affirmed Networks, the leader in the virtualization of mobile networks, today announced a collaboration with VMware to enable the rapid deployment of its Mobile Content Cloud™ solution for Network Functions Virtualization (NFV).
Affirmed Networks will use VMware vSphere® and VMware vCloud® management framework for automated provisioning and distribution of its virtualized packet and control plane processing in a software-defined data center.
Affirmed Networks’ next-generation core network features, using VMware’s capacity management capabilities, will empower mobile operators to lower capital and operational expenditures, with greater efficiency for deploying revenue-generation services and applications.

Underscoring this collaboration, Affirmed Networks has signed a global OEM agreement with VMware, enabling the company to offer a channel for operators to procure VMware’s industry-leading virtualization and cloud platform.
