Capgemini Government Solutions Appoints Galeos Group Chairman and CEO Phil Nolan to Board of Directors

RESTON, Va.--()--Capgemini Government Solutions LLC, a subsidiary of the Capgemini Group, one of the world’s foremost providers of consulting, technology and outsourcing services, today announced that it has appointed, Galeos Group Chairman and CEO, Phil Nolan to its board of directors. Nolan will serve the board as an outside director.

Nolan brings to the board significant experience in business management and U.S. government services. In 2012, he joined McLean, Va.-based Galeos Group, a provider of strategic solutions and services to U.S. government agencies, that was formed in partnership with private equity firm Welsh, Carson, Anderson, and Stowe. He previously served as chairman, president and chief executive officer of Stanley Inc., where he helped the company grow from 20 employees to more than 5,000, and about $1 billion in revenue before the company was acquired in 2010 by CGI Group. At Stanley, Nolan also served as corporate secretary, treasurer, general manager, general counsel, and vice president of operations before being promoted to president in 1996, and CEO in 2002. In 2006, he was appointed chairman of the Stanley board of directors.

In 2007, Nolan received the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award in the Government Services category for Greater Washington. He currently serves on the board of directors of NCI Inc. and Camber Corporation. He is a member of the Pragmatics Inc. board of advisors and served as an outside director on the special security agreement (SSA) board for Stratos Government Solutions Inc. Nolan is also a member of the board of trustees for INOVA Health Care Services.

Before joining Stanley, Nolan served on active duty as a submarine officer in the U.S. Navy nuclear power program. He retired from the U.S. Navy Reserve as a captain with 24 years of service.

DiPentima, former president and chief executive officer of SRA International, and Lieutenant General (Retired) Gregory S. Newbold, former director of operations (J3) of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Jim Nicholson, former Secretary of Veteran Affairs under President George W. Bush and a former Republican National Committee (RNC) chairman, serves as board advisor.
