Two Life Sciences and Healthcare Lawyers Join Norton Rose Fulbright’s Washington, DC Office

WASHINGTON--()--A pair of life sciences and healthcare lawyers with prominent reputations in government and regulatory investigations have joined the global legal practice of Norton Rose Fulbright’s US member firm as partners.

Michael Koon and Carol Poindexter come to Norton Rose Fulbright’s Washington, DC office. Both were partners at Shook, Hardy & Bacon LLP.

Koon represents pharmaceutical and medical device companies in a range of government investigations and litigation. For more than three decades, he has focused on the defense of clients subject to government regulation. Koon has also served as regional and national counsel for prescription drug and medical device manufacturers in product liability and other complex civil litigation.

Poindexter focuses her practice on regulatory, investigatory and litigation matters in healthcare and life sciences as well as other government-regulated industries. She represents clients in regulatory enforcement, compliance matters, fraud investigations, internal investigations, due diligence, clinical research compliance, policy and governance issues and emerging legal developments.
