Bay Dynamics Recognized Among Top 50 IT Operations Analytics (ITOA) Vendors

Company Named to Inaugural List of Vendors Demonstrating Innovation in Big Data Decision Support Software

SAN FRANCISCO--()--Bay Dynamics, the leading provider of information risk intelligence to the world’s largest organizations, today announced its selection to The ITOA Landscape’s inaugural ITOA50. The ITOA50 list identifies the top IT operations analytics (ITOA) vendors that have demonstrated their innovation in developing ITOA solutions to analyze and turn volumes of data into critical decision-support information.

The ITOA50 vendors were selected by a team comprised of analysts, solution providers and the ITOA Landscape editor. The selection committee evaluated finalists’ product offerings, impact, innovation and industry recognition to determine the top 50 companies.

“Today’s security and IT operations solutions have a common problem: they collect and deliver mountains of data for organizations’ IT teams and business process owners to comb through,” said Feris Rifai, CEO of Bay Dynamics. “Businesses and government agencies need solutions that help them sort through the haystacks to find the needles – the potential threats and items that require immediate action. Bay Dynamics is providing analytics on top of previously disconnected information assets and helping our customers understand their operating environment so they can identify meaningful deviations from the norm that could indicate anomalies, outliers, and threats. Our team is proud to be recognized by The ITOA Landscape for our efforts.”

In addition to the company’s recognition by The ITOA Landscape, Bay Dynamics was cited in Gartner’s “How ITOA Relates to Other Analytics-Driven Disciplines” report, published on November 26, 2013. In the report, Gartner Research Vice President Will Cappelli discusses the connection between ITOA and security technologies: “ITOA is a technology-backed discipline that pertains exclusively to the communities concerned with the operational performance of applications and infrastructure. Nonetheless, ITOA processes and technologies intersect, influence and are influenced by a number of other IT disciplines. The two other disciplines, which, for the present at least, appear to be the most intertwined with ITOA, are security information and event management (SIEM) analytics and intelligent business process management suites (iBPMS).”

Bay Dynamics’ Risk Fabric solution features an easily consumable management interface that leverages big data analytics capabilities to deliver context and state-of-the-art remediation around security events. The solution federates data from security silos and IT repositories on an enterprise-wide level to automatically identify, track, and rate insider behaviors and interactions with information assets and systems. By understanding user behavior, Risk Fabric makes it possible for companies to determine their risk exposure, evaluate insider threats, and reduce false positives.
