LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Young State America (YSA), a small batch distillery located in the bourgeoning downtown LA Arts District, today announced that its Loft & Bear Artisanal Vodka was awarded a silver medal at the New York International Spirits Competition, held October 20 and 21 in New York City.
The judging panel for the competition is composed of buyers, retails stores, restaurant and bar owners, distributors, importers and trade influencers with spirit purchasing power. Winners are selected based on criteria including appearance, aroma, taste, mouthfeel and finish. The selection process at the NYI Spirits competition is rigorous, with less than half of entrants receiving awards.
“Our limited batch, handcrafted vodka is developed to please a broad range of audiences, whether they are looking to sip a quality spirit or mix their vodka into a cocktail,” said Paul Ryan, Master Distiller and Creator at YSA. “We pride ourselves on delivering an authentic, artisanal product developed through carefully crafted, original recipes. Loft & Bear Artisanal Vodka is characterized by its sweet, rich aroma and a silky smooth mouth feel, followed by a whisper of licorice. The spirit features an understated, light and clean flavor derived from soft winter wheat grains. Designed as a “whisky drinker’s vodka” it can be sipped straight on the rocks or because of the unique flavor characteristics, mixed perfectly in a fresh cocktail.
