Ten Year Celebration of Anisa Cosmetic Applicators Tianjin Marks Milestone of Innovation, Growth and Community Outreach in China

ATLANTA--()--Anisa International Inc., the worldwide leader in cosmetic brush design and manufacturing, is marking 10 years of innovation and production at its wholly-owned manufacturing plant in Tianjin, China. Through its history, Anisa Cosmetic Applicators Tianjin (Anisa Tianjin) – as the plant is called – has supported community building and philanthropy in the village. In November, Anisa International staff will travel to the plant to celebrate, awarding Hong Kong trips and other prizes to manufacturing workers.

“We’ve experienced incredible growth in the past 10 years, which would not have been possible without our highly skilled workforce and their commitment to creating quality makeup tools,” said Anisa Telwar, president and founder of Anisa International. “By establishing this facility, we were able to shape a tremendous culture of community, teamwork and philanthropy, which has furthered the overall success of the company.”

Founded in 2003, Anisa Tianjin provides end-to-end quality control and allows Anisa International to quickly take new products from conception to production – a key differentiator that was instrumental in securing six design patents. While the cost of doing business in China continues to rise, Telwar is committed to production in the country, and relies on systems efficiency and ongoing training of a skilled workforce to prosper. This strategy has led to the company’s development, with Anisa International appearing three times on the INC 500|5000 list of fastest growing companies.

Innovative brushes as important as community involvement

Anisa Tianjin provides employment for more than 600 village citizens, including job opportunities for those who have had difficulty finding work, due to disabilities or lack of education. Focused on the success of future generations, the plant offers internships to students at the local university and a bonus to employees whose children pass the college entrance exam. The plant has sponsored a primary school with a multi-media facility and a nursing home with refrigerators and wheel chairs.

The economic impact of the facility reaches farther than its employees – Anisa Tianjin depends on a host of suppliers for raw materials to create its millions of brushes.

Blow-out celebration brings prizes, smiles

Each year, Telwar and other Anisa International top leaders travel to Tianjin for the anniversary of the plant, awarding prizes for measured success and attendance, as well as a trip to Hong Kong to employees nominated by their peers. Everyone participates in a luncheon, and gets to enjoy a day of celebration.

Because of Anisa International’s commitment to Tianjin, the workforce is highly invested in the company and contributes to new product design as well as manufacturing. It’s a win for both sides and has led to incredible growth.
