Henley Properties Announces Launch of MainVue Homes in Dallas-Fort Worth

New product positioned to shake up local housing market

DALLAS--()--Australian home builder Henley Properties (http://www.henley.com.au) announced today the launch of MainVue Homes in Dallas-Fort Worth, a move that officials say will shake up the local housing market.

“Our homes offer a fresh alternative to new, modern, contemporary home design that is about 10 years ahead of what you currently see in the Dallas market,” said Vanessa Normandin, President of Henley USA. “We’ve had a great start in Seattle, climbing to number 3 or 4 position from start-up 18 months ago, but our launch in Dallas will really put us on the map.”

MainVue plans to build about 300 homes in its first year in the popular Phillips Creek Ranch community, located in Frisco, Texas, and surrounding areas. The growth strategy of the private company is to expand into Houston next and across the U.S. Sumitomo Forestry bought 50% of Henley Properties, the number four home builder in Australia, in 2009, providing a strong capital base for expansion. Henley began building homes in the U.S. in late 2011 in Seattle, Washington under the MainVue Homes brand.

“With the backing of Sumitomo, we have the global buying power to be here for the long-term,” said Peter Hayes, Managing Director of Henley. “Our architectural DNA is in every home and we will be setting the standard for new home design for decades to come.”

MainVue Home’s target market is a contemporary customer who wants all the amenities of an urban lifestyle along with the space the suburbs provide. Every home features a luxury resort-style design with sleek, clean lines and an open feel with lots of natural light and an indoor/outdoor flow. Homes will be priced in the mid $500s with all luxury amenities included.

“Through our product design we have brought new buyers to the urban fringe that would not have considered this an option,” said Hayes.

Henley is scouting locations along the Dallas North Tollway for its World of Homes, a destination sales office similar to a Parade of Homes that will feature 15-20 different MainVue models that Henley will develop for the region. Construction is expected to start in January of 2014 with models completed in July of 2014.
