SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--TipRanks, a provider of financial accountability solutions, was one of five companies selected as “Best of Show” out of 72 presenting at Finovate 2013, a showcase of the best innovations in financial and banking technology.
The “Best of Show” designation was determined by a vote of the 1,300 financial technology industry leaders who attended the show. TipRanks and LendUp were the only first-time presenters amongst the five winners.
“Being recognized in this manner by industry leaders is an exquisite validation of our disruptive technology,” said Uri Gruenbaum, CEO of TipRanks. “Making analyst performance data easily available and highly visible to the investing public, TipRanks will ensure accountability, objectivity, and transparency within the business of stock picking and analyst reports.”
Gruenbaum, along with TipRanks’ CTO and co-founder Gilad Gat, presented the seven minute demonstration of the company’s cloud based service that collects any digitally published stock recommendation and ranks several thousands of sell-side analysts by performance. With TipRanks, investors have full transparency of analyst performance data compared to their colleagues, which is based on an aggregation of published web articles with financial analysts’ recommendations. By "simply" highlighting a name of an analyst on a web page, TipRanks instantly opens an “accountability report” that gives it the analyst’s advice and overall prediction rating so that investors can make educated decisions while reading stock advice. In addition, the online platform allows users to search by stock symbol and access the top performing analyst recommendations on whether to buy, sell, or hold the investment.
When a TipRanks user visits a financial Web site like Yahoo! Finance or Google Finance and searches for a stock symbol, an automatic, unobtrusive side tab will provide instant access to the top three performing financial analyst’s stock recommendations. In addition, users have instant access to the news articles that quote the analyst recommendations and why they made those predictions.
TipRanks is currently on a closed beta; however, users can sign up here for exclusive download access that will be offered periodically. TipRanks works on all the major browsers: Internet Explorer, Firefox, Google Chrome and Safari. It does not collect any personal information from users and it is not affiliated with any financial or investment institution.
TipRanks is the first cloud based service that aggregates, scrutinizes, and ranks digitally published stock recommendations. TipRanks’ Financial Accountability Engine™ transparently provides the individual investor unbiased information about the reliability, accuracy and track record of those who provide sell-side advice. TipRanks’ free, cloud-based technology provides unprecedented measurement and clarity to the worldwide financial advice domain. It lets the investor decide who to trust.
