HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Houston-based Marion, Montgomery, Inc. (MMI) has announced the launch of its new identity, MMI Agency, focused on evolving its offerings for clients. The symbolic move accompanies an actual move, as the 27-year, woman-owned business purchases a three-story, custom-built low rise in the Toyota Center District of downtown Houston.
The new MMI Agency building at 1712 Pease St. will have 19,000 square feet of office space, and will house more than 70 employees across three floors that align with the agency’s suite of services: branding; creative; reach, research & results; digital; public relations and social media. The move takes the MMI team from a multi-building campus on South Boulevard near Rice Village where it has operated, and steadily grown, since 1999.
“We have outgrown the creative, wooded enclave we’ve occupied for nearly 15 years,” said Cindy Marion, MMI Agency president and CEO. We wanted to move to a space that would help convey the story of who we are, and accommodate our growing ranks of amazing specialists. Taking ownership of this building – as well as the new positions recently introduced at our agency – marks a new chapter for us, and we felt the time was right to refresh our brand identity, as well as officially adopt the name MMI Agency, since most of our clients and colleagues already tend to refer to us as MMI.”
The new design direction for the MMI Agency brand identity was inspired by a passion long held by the firm to serve clients and produce work that “mpowers” brands. New brand elements launched include logo, website, and social media identities on Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn. In late 2012, MMI developed new positions in research, creative and media, allowing key staff to focus on their specialties and better position MMI to enhance the “integrated collaboration of specialists” model created by the agency years ago.
Marion and former partners Pattii Montgomery and Rebecca Rothbard founded their own agency in 1986, and it has since served an array of local, regional and national clients in industries such as healthcare, energy, real estate and insurance. Marion, who became sole owner of the agency in 1999, continues to partner with Montgomery in the building purchase.
