PASADENA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Fiesta Parade Floats, the leading award winning float-builder for the Tournament of Roses Parade, has added to its already impressive float building track record as 7 of its client’s float entries were named award-winners by a panel of Rose Parade judges at the 124th Tournament of Roses Parade, held earlier today in Pasadena, California.
Among the Fiesta-built floats receiving awards today was the Dole float entry, “Dreaming of Paradise” which was awarded the 2013 Sweepstakes Trophy, the Parade’s top prize, given to the parade’s most beautiful float entry. The 2013 award marks the 20th straight year that Fiesta Parade Floats has built the Parade’s Sweepstakes Trophy winning float entry.
In addition to the 2013 Sweepstakes Trophy, 6 other Fiesta-built floats received awards, including:
- Beverly Hills Pet Care Foundation: "Follow the Stars … Adopt A Pet!" – Lathrop K. Leishman Trophy for most beautiful non-commercial float.
- Ministry of Tourism & Creative Economies, Republic of Indonesia: “Wonderful Indonesia” – President’s Trophy for most effective floral use and presentation.
- AIDS Healthcare Foundation: "The Global Face of AIDS" – Queen’s Trophy for most effective use and display of roses in concept, design & presentation.
- Kaiser Permanente: “Oh, The Healthy Things You Can Do! " – Theme Trophy for excellence in presenting parade theme.
- Dick Van Patten’s Natural Balance Pet Foods: “Canines with Courage” – Past Presidents' Trophy for most creative use of floral and nonfloral materials.
- Miracle-Gro: “Everyone Grows!” – Crown City Innovation Trophy for best use of imagination & innovation to advance the art of float design.
