TORONTO--()--Leaping from glossy pages and alluring websites, the Canadian beauty and fashion industry took centre stage last night in Toronto at the fourth annual P&G Beauty & Grooming Awards. The event honours the exceptional beauty, grooming and fashion editorial work from this past year. With over 300 of the industry’s who’s who in attendance, this year’s host, TV and film actor, and best-selling author, Rob Lowe, charmed guests as awards were presented to leading Canadian stylists, photographers, writers, editors, models, bloggers and art directors.

“I understand how incredibly important it is to be acknowledged for your work, which is why being a part of an event like the P&G Beauty & Grooming Awards is such an honour,” says Lowe. “What I saw tonight was a community of highly creative and inspiring visionaries and providing a forum that recognizes this talent is essential in fostering continued excellence.”

The 2012 awards featured 15 categories, including a new addition for Best Art Direction, that recognize the multifaceted display of talent across the country. Award-winning R&B singer, Jully Black; supermodel Stacey McKenzie; three time World Champion Boxer and COVERGIRL Ambassador, Mary Spencer and Kirk Pikersgill and Stephen Wong of Greta Constantine, were among the evening’s presenters, highlighting this year’s honourees and shining a light on the categories that define the editorial and creative space in Canada.

“In such a fast-paced industry, it is crucial that we take a moment to celebrate the extraordinary beauty, grooming and fashion editorial work in Canada,” says Thom Lachman, President, P&G Canada. “The level of talent we have here ranks on a global scale and P&G Beauty and Grooming understands how important it is to support and nurture this industry.
