STOCKHOLM--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Golfers can use SEQR to pay at Dormy’s eight shops and online Seamless – listed on the Nasdaq OMX – has entered into an agreement with Dormy. The retail chain, with its eight shops and a webshop, offers Europe’s largest assortment for golfers. The agreement means that Dormy customers will be able to pay using their smartphones and SEQR.
Dormy’s eight shops are in Stockholm, Göteborg, Malmö, Örebro, Norrköping, Sundsvall and Ängelholm. The company is in a phase of expansion and, in November, will be opening another shop at Kungens Kurva, south of Stockholm.
“We’re very pleased that Dormy has decided to offer its customers a payment service based on SEQR. We’re convinced that golfers will discover how quickly and easily they can pay for purchases online and in the shops by using SEQR,” says Emil Wikström, Managing Director for SEQR.
Paying with SEQR for online purchases is a faster, simpler and more convenient process than paying by card – and the customer no longer needs to worry about transferring sensitive account information via the Internet.
“We have over 200 000 bonus customers and we’re constantly striving to make their visits to our shops and our webshop as smooth as possible. We’re convinced that golf enthusiasts will discover the simplicity of paying with SEQR,” says Anders Wall, CEO of Dormy.
By introducing SEQR, Dormy can halve its transaction costs without any investments in new technology.
Seamless is one of the world's leading providers of payment solutions for mobile phones, handling more than 3.1 billion transactions each year via 525,000 active sales outlets. Combined with eleven years experience and a presence in 26 countries, this gives Seamless a strong position in the market for mobile payments. It is the company's unique transaction platform that enables SEQR. Seamless is traded on Nasdaq OMX Stockholm, under the SEAM ticker.
SEQR, developed by Seamless, is the fastest and easiest mobile payments solution currently available on the market. The customer simply uses the SEQR app to scan the QR code at the checkout and approve the payment by entering their PIN. SEQR works just as well for physical transactions as for e-commerce, and is both faster and more secure than card payments. The technology behind the solution requires no investment by retailers – all that is required is a QR code sticker at the checkout. In addition, the low transaction charges reduce costs for the retailer.
