SEATTLE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The GreaterGood Network makes history again today with the national launch of a series of donation payments applications for the battery-powered Dynamics ePlate™ credit card device. The innovative offering lets consumers donate with every purchase to causes featured within the GreaterGood Network of websites including TheAnimalRescueSite.com, TheBreastCancerSite.com, and TheHungerSite.com.
The GreaterGood Network began in 1999 with The Hunger Site, the Internet’s first “click to give” website. Since then the Network has launched a number of applications that allow consumers to easily support their favorite causes online. To date, GreaterGood Network has donated more than $26 million to charity.
“GreaterGood is always looking to reduce the friction in accepting donations from our patrons,” said Tim Kunin, CEO of The GreaterGood Network. “Dynamics ePlate™ reduces donation friction by allowing people to donate just by living their life – just by buying breakfast, pumping gas, or going to the movies.”
When any of the Greatergood Network experience™ applications are selected, a consumer will contribute towards the charity of their choice anywhere they use their Dynamics ePlate™ credit card device. After a set amount of donations to the cause, the consumer is mailed a physical, keepsake item free-of-charge.
“Dynamics ePlate™ was created to reach the segment of one,” said Jeff Mullen, CEO of Dynamics. “With the GreaterGood trio of experience applications, a patron can swipe their ePlate™ to donate to animals one day, hunger the other day, and breast cancer the next day.”
The ePlate™ credit card device is subject to a credit approval.
How It Works
ePlate™ is connected to an ecosystem of experience™ providers that each deliver an individualized brand experience, through an experience™ application, to the consumer. Prior to a purchase, consumers select multiple experience™ applications on their smart phone, tablet, or computer to port to their ePlate™ device. At the time of purchase, the consumer can use different buttons on their ePlate™ device to select different experience™ applications. About GreaterGood Network
The GreaterGood Network of websites offer the public a unique opportunity to support causes they care about at no cost to them. Each person's daily click on the Click To Give sites displays sponsor advertising. One hundred percent (100%) the funding from sponsor advertising is distributed by GreaterGood.org, an independent 501(c)(3) charity that makes grants to charity partners delivering services in its mission areas.
Supporters can also contribute directly to charity by purchasing Gifts that Give More™, where one hundred percent (100%) of their donation is given to charity, or by purchasing one of the 7,000+ products carried in the GreaterGood Network website stores, including jewelry, apparel, and gifts. Every purchase triggers a donation to charity and shoppers can check their cart to see how much good they have done in the cause of their choice.
The GreaterGood Network “Click Here To Give” websites include The Hunger Site (www.thehungersite.com), The Animal Rescue Site (www.theanimalrescuesite.com), The Breast Cancer Site (www.thebreastcancersite.com), The Child Health Site (www.thechildhealthsite.com), The Literacy Site (www.theliteracysite.com), The Rainforest Site (www.therainforestsite.com), The Veterans Site (www.theveteranssite.com), and The Autism Site (www.theautismsite.com).
