Ernst & Young LLP’s Orange County Office Announces New Leadership Promotions

New Principals and Director named

IRVINE, Calif.--()--Ernst & Young LLP recently announced promotions of professionals based in its Orange County office. John Belli, Orange County Office Managing Partner, commented, “These individuals demonstrate leadership, integrity, dedication and a commitment to quality client service on a daily basis. Todd Carper was promoted to principal from senior manager. Carper is a member of Ernst & Young LLP’s Indirect Tax practice, where he focuses on multi-state income and franchise taxes and coordinates services with respect to business credits and incentives, sales and use tax, property tax, VAT, customs and employment tax. Carper serves as the Orange County office’s Indirect and State and Local Tax Market Leader and as the Area Director of Income and Franchise Tax for the firm’s West Region. He earned a law degree from Loyola Law School of Los Angeles and a bachelor's degree from the University of Southern California. Todd is an adjunct professor of state and local tax at Chapman University School of Law and is a member of The State Bar of California.

Manish Patel was promoted to principal from senior manager. Patel works in Ernst & Young LLP’s International Tax Services practice, where he advises clients across a broad spectrum of sectors on a variety of international tax issues. Patel serves as the firm’s West Region Tax Effective Supply Chain Management Practice Leader. He has worked in the firm’s Woodland Hills, Los Angeles and Orange County offices, and has just begun a two-year overseas assignment with the Ernst & Young member firm in the UK on its US Tax Desk in London. Patel earned a law degree from the University of Southern California and a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of California at Berkeley. He is a member of the State Bar of California and the Los Angeles County Bar Association.

Kristina Liphardt was promoted to director from associate director. Liphardt is a member of Ernst & Young LLP’s People Team, where she currently serves as the Advisory MBA Campus Recruiting Leader and the Transaction Advisory Services Campus Recruiting Leader. Liphardt started her career in the Newport Beach office of Kenneth Leventhal & Company and joined Ernst & Young in 1995. She serves on the Board of Directors for The Forte Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to the advancement of women professionals in business. Liphardt received her bachelor’s degree in Organizational Communications from Arizona State University.
