BERLIN--(BUSINESS WIRE)--DirectPhotonics Industries GmbH, a cutting edge provider of ultra-high brightness direct diode laser solutions for material processing, announced today it has signed an exclusive worldwide patent license agreement with Fraunhofer-Center for Laser Technology CLT, Plymouth, Michigan, and a non-exclusive worldwide patent license agreement with Fraunhofer-Institute for Laser Technology ILT, Aachen, Germany, to develop, manufacture and commercialize Fraunhofer’s unique building block design, based on optically stacked high power single emitters, providing the highest direct diode laser brightness available today. The patents exclusively licensed under this agreement include U.S. Patent Numbers; 7,751,458 and 8,213,479, and non-exclusive US Patent Number 6,124,973/DE 197 80 124 B4.
