ATTLEBORO, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Precision Engineered Products LLC (PEP), a global manufacturer of surgical and medical instruments, devices, and components, is increasing its global manufacturing base with a new facility in the Caribbean.
The 5,000 square foot, Class 8 medical manufacturing operation is located in the Zona Franca Industrial in San Pedro de Macorís, Dominican Republic.
Production of surgical staples began this month. Plans to expand site manufacturing to include complementary molding, stamping and assembly capabilities are in progress.

Precision Engineered Products has ten manufacturing locations in four countries. The Dominican Republic facility is the second PEP operation devoted principally to medical manufacturing. PEP’s Bridgeport, Connecticut location is home to medical and surgical business units Lacey Manufacturing and Boston Endo-Surgical Technologies.
