POTTSTOWN, Pa.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--CODY Systems (www.codysystems.com), a nationwide leader in public-safety software, donated $10,000 to the Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) Foundation in support of fallen officers. National President of the Fraternal Order of Police, Chuck Canterbury, accepted the donation on behalf of the foundation last month at the launch of the company’s latest innovation for law enforcement field-agent safety - C.tac 5 - a tactical search app built on and powered by the COBRA.net information-sharing platform. “CODY’s goals are very similar to the FOP,” said Mr. Canterbury. “They want their company to be socially responsible. They want to put out a product that protects officers. These goals and objectives are very similar to that of the FOP and its Foundation. I applaud CODY for what they are doing for law enforcement.
“C.tac 5 is an exciting product,” added Mr. Canterbury. “It makes me want to go back to the streets!”
The FOP Foundation (www.fop.net) is the world’s largest organization of sworn officers, with a current membership of over 330,000 officers. The foundation is committed to improving the working conditions of officers through education, legislation, information, community involvement, and enhancing officer safety.
In 2009, CODY donated the use of its COBRA information-sharing system to Bucks County, PA in honor of fallen officer, Brian Gregg. (read this story)
“The FOP and CODY share the same mission: to bring officers home at night to their families,” said Frances N. Heffner, President of CODY Systems. “It was a pleasure to meet Mr. Canterbury. We hope our donation will help the FOP Foundation achieve its worthwhile goals.”
