NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--PowerSearch Software, the leading developer of affordable and accessible e-discovery search and collection technologies, today announced the general availability of the newest release of its software, PowerSearch 4.0.
New features in PowerSearch 4.0 include:
Twitter Search - Search and collect from any Twitter account
Remote Query Builder - Remote Query Builder is a stand-alone utility for use by a remote user such as outside counsel to pre-build queries from a dictionary created from a client's indexed files. The queries can then be executed by the client and the relevant documents collected for further review.
Search Result Tagging - Run one or more searches and tag search results as either include or exclude for export. This feature also enables users to check if all the files have been reviewed.
Distributed Project Merge - Distribute a project over multiple computers, and then merge the data to search, cull and export.
Email Notification - Send an email to notify an operator that a process has completed.
User Views - Analyst/Operator - Administrators can now set view options based on user type: either counsel and analysts, or operators performing selection and processing.
“Of all our new features, I am most excited about our Remote Query Builder because it allows law firms and their clients to partner in a new and mutually beneficial way to make litigating faster and more affordable,” said Girts Jansons, PowerSearch Software CEO.
Using the full version of PowerSearch clients scan their pertinent document collections to automatically generate an index or library of all words, and then save the word dictionary to the Remote Query Builder. Law firms, running only Remote Query Builder, structure the queries and send them electronically to their clients for execution. “The beauty of this method is that there is virtually no cost to identify the relevant documents, counsel gets exactly what it needs, and with much of the upfront e-discovery cost eliminated, matters that might otherwise be abandoned can now be litigated,” explained Jansons.
For a demonstration of all the new features of PowerSearch 4.0, visit PowerSearch at LegalTech, booth 1319, at the Hilton New York, January 30 through February 1, or call 877-794-3282 x204.
Although PowerSearch 4.0 has significant new functionality for users and increased control for administrators, it remains free to download and deploy. With it, users can search an unlimited number of files and continuously refine their search criteria to identify relevant documents. Users pay only fractions of a cent for each file ultimately deemed relevant and saved or exported.
