LONDON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Just-Eat, the world’s largest online takeaway ordering service, has announced that it has reached the milestone of 20,000 partner restaurants in its network across four continents.
With the Just-Eat network currently generating over $500 million per year for the restaurant industry, this means that being part of Just-Eat is worth a potential $25,000 in revenue for each restaurant.
Klaus Nyengaard, chief executive officer of Just-Eat, said “It’s great to reach this significant milestone, and it shows how hungry the restaurant business is for e-commerce. Our services and platform are a key revenue stream for 20,000 local restaurants in sixteen different countries, and as more and more people order their takeaways online, we expect to see the potential revenue for each restaurant continue to rise.”
“E-commerce is here to stay and by working with us, restaurants can tap into an online market they ordinarily cannot access in an effective way.”
Just-Eat recently secured investment of $48 million from venture capitalists IndexVentures, Greylock Partners and Redpoint Ventures. It operates in sixteen countries across four continents, including UK, Denmark, India, Argentina, Canada, Spain and Switzerland.
