First-Ever Jewish Film-of-the-Month Club Launches in North America

Award-Winning Jewish Films Available for Streaming and DVD Ownership

Brought to you by Film Movement, the Company Behind the First DVD-of-the-Month Club for Independent and Foreign Film Festival Gems

NEW YORK--()--Film Movement today launches the first Jewish Film-of-the-Month Club, the company announced. The Jewish Film Club is a subscription-based service, providing U.S. and Canadian members access to an award-winning Jewish-themed feature film and short every other month via online streaming and DVD to own.

The Jewish Film Club’s staff travels to the world’s premiere film festivals, identifying the finest in contemporary Jewish-themed cinema. These exemplary films—from around the world—illuminate Jewish themes of history, identity, and culture intended for both affiliated and unaffiliated Jews, as well as people of other faiths and cultures.

The Jewish Film Club is by subscription. Members receive access to a Jewish-themed feature film and bonus short while they are still in movie theaters and before release to the general public. Easy as 1.2.3. 1) Subscribe or give a gift subscription; 2) Receive a new film on DVD, while that same film is made available for streaming; 3) Sit back and enjoy each film—they are yours to keep, nothing to return! An annual/12 month subscription is $108.00 (with free shipping). Six (6) month and bi-monthly subscriptions are $68.00 and $28.00, respectively, (plus $3.25 for shipping each DVD).

The Jewish Film Club is launched by Film Movement, the North American distributor of critically acclaimed, award-winning independent and foreign films hailed by film lovers and critics, including Roger Ebert: “Film Movement subscribers get more than their money’s worth!” The 10-year-old company offers films from 47 countries, including winners from the Sundance, Cannes, and Berlin film festivals, bringing the same discerning taste to the Jewish Film Club.

The Jewish Film Club is sponsored by JDate®, the premier online Jewish personal community since 1997. A portion of funds from each membership will benefit Chai Lifeline, assisting chronically ill children and their families.

Sign up today. It’s like having a Jewish Film Festival in your very own living room.
