WAKEFIELD, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Virtual, Inc., a technology-focused association management company, today announced the additions of two new members to its senior management team as Greg Kohn and Mary McRae have joined the firm as vice president, client services, and vice president, technical committee support, respectively. At the same time, the growing company announced the promotion of Cindy Adams to vice president, client services.

Kohn joins Virtual, Inc. from the IEEE Industry Standards and Technology Organization (IEEE-ISTO) where he most recently was staff director. Over the course of his 13-year career at both IEEE-ISTO and earlier the IEEE, Kohn guided dozens of standards-setting groups. During this time he also served in leadership roles for several industry associations, including the MIPI Alliance, the Wireless Village Initiative and Blade.org, among others. Kohn earned his B.A. in Journalism and Professional Writing from The College of New Jersey, and a M.S. in Professional and Technical Communications from the New Jersey Institute of Technology.
McRae brings more than 20 years of highly technical and project management experience to Virtual's burgeoning technical committee management service endeavors. She joined the company from OASI ‒ the Organization for Advancement of Structured Information Standards ‒ where she was the director of technical committee administration and standards development. Previously, McRae was senior vice president/principal XML technologist at Document Management Solutions, Inc. Earlier in her career she worked as manager of sales engineering at Xyvision, and as editorial systems manager at Butterworth Legal Publishers. McRae attended the University of Phoenix where her area of concentration was Business/eBusiness. She also attended the University of Lowell.
Previously director of operations at Virtual, Inc., Adams joined the company in 2009 following several decades of progressively greater IT management responsibility in the financial services, technology, communications, healthcare, insurance and manufacturing sectors. Prior to that, Adams was vice president, IT program manager at State Street Global Advisors. Earlier, she worked at Perceptive Informatics as the director of e-Services and at Fidelity Investments as a director of IS. Adams has a bachelor's degree from Catawba College, and is a candidate for a master's degree from Virginia Polytechnic Institute.
