John will be responsible for driving Metia’s strategy around social media, which has become an important component in the breadth of digital experiences that Metia creates for its customers. This new position is part of a recent hiring wave that Metia began in 2010 in support of its 20% year-over-year growth, which is expected to continue through 2011.
John joined Microsoft in 1990 and most recently served as Director, Customer and Community Relations Management, Xbox Global Marketing, part of the Entertainment and Devices Division. Earlier John worked at Sun Microsystems. John holds a BA in Marketing from the University of Washington and served on the Board of Directors of WOMMA (Word of Mouth Marketing Association).
