AlertSite’s DéjàClick Enhances Business Productivity with Intelligent Categorizing of Website Content

ContentViews feature lets DéjàClick users across the organization see only the Web performance metrics that matter most to them

COCONUT CREEK, Fla.--()--AlertSite today announced ContentViews, a powerful new feature of its website performance monitoring technology, DéjàClick. ContentViews delivers a greater level of visibility into website performance, especially for companies that rely heavily on multiple content providers or content sources. ContentViews categorizes data, such as load time and availability metrics, for selected elements of a website, providing stakeholders across an organization the ability to understand how specific content is performing.

ContentViews empowers organizations to easily create categorized views of any Web content, such as editorial segments, photos, videos, contact forms, third-party advertisements, RSS feeds, and more, and then isolate and report on the performance of those content views. By allowing specific elements to be grouped and monitored separately, ContentViews enables content owners to pinpoint and track the data that directly impacts their business, and reveals the impact ad networks, CDNs, and other third-parties are having on the user experience. This reduces the need for IT departments to analyze Web performance monitoring data.

“Websites are becoming increasingly complex, often containing hundreds of elements,” says Ken Gross, President and CEO of AlertSite. “Organizations using ContentViews can easily create customizable categories for performance monitoring, testing, and report generation, so IT departments can avoid relaying messages or reviewing non-critical alerts, and thus maximize their productivity. ContentViews allows users to tap into DéjàClick’s performance analyses selectively, with accuracy and precision.”

Using the list of website content collected during the DéjàClick recording, users simply drag and drop each element into categories they create. For example, if the user was parsing content from a news website, they could create categories such as Editorial, Video, and Advertisements and then drop relevant content into the appropriate bucket. These become ContentViews, which you only have to create once.

Further customization is accomplished by indicating how often alerts are issued and what departments will receive them, such as Editorial, Multimedia, and Marketing. Unlike other website performance software, DéjàClick’s ContentViews does not require users to re-record saved transactions. Users can run ContentViews on any transaction recorded with DéjàClick in just a few seconds.

The first inside-the-browser transaction monitor, DéjàClick captures and records the Web experience from the actual end user’s perspective. Users can record any multi-step transaction, or click stream, then play it back to recreate the TrueUser™ experience. Only AlertSite's DéjàClick monitors the true-user experience, reporting the performance of pages, links, components, objects, cursor movements, and more—including sites completely built in Flash.
