MILWAUKEE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dohmen Company CEO Cynthia (Dohmen) LaConte announced today that the Dohmen Investment Group acquired PlanIT, Incorporated, a health care analytics company based in Germantown, Wis. LaConte said the purchase is the first of several planned with the intent of joining together a series of exceptional companies dedicated to creating efficiencies within health care.
“We’re very excited to have PlanIT join us,” said LaConte. “PlanIT’s track record of reducing health care expense for group health plans through their proprietary analytics tools is completely aligned with our values and our vision of creating a more efficient, affordable and accessible health care supply system. Its team, its culture and its mission make PlanIT an ideal addition to our growing family of companies.”
PlanIT co-founder Terry Adams will serve as division president. Adams said his team shares LaConte’s enthusiasm regarding the companies’ seamless blend of shared purpose and culture. “Brian Behnken and I co-founded PlanIT in 1998 to help companies and health care plans gain clarity around health care costs. So far we’ve provided our service package to more than 1,000 employers representing more than 1.5 million members. Dohmen has proved its ability to understand the needs of the marketplace and deliver unique solutions. Being acquired by a like-minded, customer-focused and rock-solid privately-held company puts us all on extremely solid footing for the future.”
LaConte said PlanIT will remain an independent brand focused on the continuous improvement of its offering. “We’re not looking to buy our competitors or invest in turn-arounds. We’re looking for strong, successful companies that can bring innovation and value to our customers.”
