FGX International Launches Reading Glass Collections for the Independent Gift Channel

SMITHFIELD, R.I.--()--FGX International Inc., a leading designer and manufacturer of non-prescription reading glasses, announced today the launch of a collection of non-prescription reading glasses designed specifically for the independent gift and specialty retail channels. FGX will market the collections under the Corinne McCormack® and Optique™ by Foster Grant® brands, providing retailers with options for a wide range of fashionable reading glasses at various price points. The new collection of Corinne McCormack and Optique by Foster Grant product will launch at The Atlanta International Gift and Home Furnishings Market on January 14, 2011.

Entry into this important category is a logical extension of FGX’s commitment to the over-the-counter reading glass category. FGX is the market leader in both non-prescription reading glasses and non-prescription sunglasses, with full-service sales and customer service departments and a field service organization of over 2,300 people. The Company will provide the independent gift and stationery retailer reading glasses with fashion-forward styling, affordable retail pricing, and attractive, functional displays and has engaged The Werner Frank Group in Atlanta, GA and J. Brandes, Inc. in Dallas, TX to service this channel of trade.
