FORT WORTH, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--America One and B2 Broadcasting today announced the companies merged under the One Media Corp holding company. The new entity, One Media Corp, Inc., is a multi-media sports and entertainment company that delivers U.S. and international sports and entertainment content to targeted affinity audiences nationally via television, broadband and mobile devices.
Prior to the merger, America One acquired a controlling interest in B2 Broadcasting. Both companies will retain their existing brands.
“The merger of America One and B2 Broadcasting is a logical next step for both companies and creates substantial value for our customers and shareholders,” said Preston Bornman, Chief Operating Officer of One Media Corp and President of America One.
One Media Corp now provides content, production services and technology via television, the Internet and mobile devices. Its rights portfolio includes more than 120 colleges, 100 professional sports leagues and high-profile international sports events and leagues.
Targeting the rapidly expanding multi-screen video market, the combined content and technology company is technically nimble and operationally efficient.
“The focus of One Media Corp is to provide great service, innovative technologies and exclusive programming for consumers and businesses throughout the United States and the world,” said Greg P. Bell, CEO of One Media Corp. “Together, we will be a leader in the new era of multi-platform video and IP-delivered live HD programming.”
“Imagine having the ability to watch live Asian soccer or a live rugby game happening in the U.K. on the same evening, practically anywhere in the world, live over the Internet, a mobile phone or on cable television,” Bell said. “With the recent combination of the two companies at One Media Corp, all this and more is possible.”
America One is a sports and entertainment broadcast network and sports syndicator focused on broadcasting more than 12,000 live sports events per year via cable and the Internet, including 120 NCAA Division IA, II and III schools and more than 100 professional teams, including minor league hockey, to a U.S. audience. America One currently reaches more than 30 million U.S. broadcast homes and up to an additional 25 million with sports products.
B2 Broadcasting is a global provider of Standard Definition and High Definition transmission services for professional broadcast, proprietary broadband pay-per-view and rights management assistance, and private networking technology.
One Media Corp and its various entities have created a unique business model that provides untapped advertising opportunities. Through its relationships with Division IA, II and III colleges, both the colleges and sponsors have access to more than one million students and tens of millions of alumni at a fraction of the cost of a Division I sponsorship.
“One Media Corp sponsors will get unprecedented access to potential customers through online banners, in-stadium banners and on-air TV and radio mentions during Division IA, II, III and minor league broadcasts – even booths or tables at the same events,” Bell said. “No one else is offering this kind of comprehensive access to a highly sought-after demographic.”
