Award-winning development lifecycle solutions provider rolls out impressive array of innovations, emphasizes key enhancements to automated testing line

WALTHAM, Mass.--()--Telerik, a provider of end-to-end solutions for the software development lifecycle, today unveiled details of its Q3 2010 milestone releases. With its ongoing evolution as a holistic vendor, updates are being rolled out across Telerik’s comprehensive product portfolio, including highly anticipated enhancements to its automated testing product line. WebUI Test Studio now offers scheduling and remote testing, dynamic test variables, and conditional logic for test steps. Numerous innovations are also being introduced in Telerik’s award-winning developer tools portfolio, highlighted by the company’s move into the mobile arena with new Windows Phone 7 UI controls.

“Telerik’s mission is to make software teams more productive by providing innovative tools addressing each step in their work process,” said Svetozar Georgiev, CEO Telerik. “When it comes to the development phase in particular we offer the richest stack – from exceptional user interfaces, to solid data-layer tools, to Visual Studio productivity plug-ins. Testing and Agile Project Management tools, are also integrated very nicely. In addition, Q3 2010 marks Telerik’s entry into the mobile world. Times are very exciting.”

WebUI Test Studio Enhancements

In its Q3 2010 release, Telerik is introducing key improvements to both the QA and Developer editions of WebUI Test Studio, its automated functional testing tool. Users will benefit from powerful test scheduling and remote execution support with one-click server setup, as well as UI refinements for easier visual debugging. Additionally, Q3 2010 introduces greater compatibility for a wider range of web browsers, including the recently released Safari 5 and Google Chrome, making WebUI Test Studio the first and only automated testing tools suite to offer functional application testing against all four major browsers.

Developer Productivity Updates

With the broadest portfolio of third-party .NET productivity solutions, Telerik is introducing a number of updates to its Developer Tools line in Q3 2010. This release further enhances Telerik’s award-wining UI suites, such as RadControls for Silverlight, which delivers new controls and dramatically improved performance when working with large datasets. Also new in Q3, Telerik’s LINQ to SQL (L2S) Converter for OpenAccess ORM provides quick conversions of existing data models, giving developers seeking easy-to-use ORM a clear upgrade path from L2S. Business Intelligence in .NET applications is augmented by new features in Telerik Reporting like the wizard-based Cube DataSource for quick creation of analytical reports and advanced views of multi-dimensional data. Finally, the family of versatile Visual Studio productivity plug-ins includes numerous improvements as well, like the new timesaving Quick Fixes in JustCode.

Windows Phone 7 and TeamPulse

Concurrent with its Q3 2010 release, Telerik is shipping a library of native Windows Phone 7 UI controls for developers building mobile applications. Lightweight, fast, and Metro UI-compliant, the toolkit features 12 robust controls, completing the UI toolbox for Windows Phone 7. Updates to Telerik’s agile management tools suite, TeamPulse, are also forthcoming, including much-anticipated Team Foundation Server (TFS) sync capabilities and innovative idea management features.

“Telerik’s evolution as a holistic software development solutions provider is reflected in the continual refinement of our products,” continued Svetozar Georgiev, Telerik CEO. “Our Q3 2010 release serves as the perfect conclusion to a year of rapid growth and expansion by illustrating our dedication to exceeding customer expectations at every point in the development lifecycle.”
