UP 2010

SAN FRANCISCO--()--Cloudcor today announced that KPMG LLP, the U.S. audit, tax and advisory firm, has signed on as Platinum Partner for “UP 2010” - a Cloud Computing conference Nov. 15 – 19, 2010. The conference will include in-person gatherings Nov. 15 in San Francisco and Nov. 18 in Islandia, N.Y., along with virtual presentations that will be broadcast live via the internet on Nov 16, 17 and 19.

UP 2010 delivers more than 100 expert presentations from a world-class line up of speakers, and will include engaging panels, hands-on workshops and educational sessions, as well as a headline keynote presentation about the Cloud Operating Environment to be delivered by KPMG National Innovation Leader Steve Hill. The conference is an annual review of cloud computing developments, the Cloud's impact on world economy and society, and an aggregation point for the study of future Cloud trends.

“We are delighted to have KPMG join our world class line up of partners for the UP 2010 Cloud Conference,” said Khazret Sapenov, chairman of Cloudcor and UP 2010. “KPMG brings proven experience and know-how on commercial and government Cloud developments, and we look forward to bringing those insights to senior level conference delegates in public and private sector enterprises who will tune in virtually from around the world.”

Hill will deliver the conference keynote address at noon on Nov. 19.

“Cloud’s impact on core business processes and models will in many respects be as profound as the internet’s influence on business over the last 15 years,” said Hill. “While continued advances in technology enable the Cloud’s viability, it’s these profound business implications that will drive Cloud’s evolution and adoption in the years ahead.”

In addition, Mark Forman, KPMG’s Federal IT Advisory Leader, will deliver a presentation on public sector migration to the Cloud on Nov. 16 at 9 a.m. Forman will be joined by David McClure, associate administrator of the U.S. General Services Administration Office of Citizen Services and Communications.

“This unique conference is a great setting for KPMG to share commercial- and government-sector Cloud-related leading practices,” said Forman. “Business leaders attending the conference will get an opportunity to learn more about KPMG’s vision and strategy for cloud services in 2011 and beyond.”

KPMG will also deliver a technology breakout session, as KPMG Principal Shahed Latif provides an overview on privacy and security in the Cloud, at 11 a.m. on Nov. 16.

UP 2010 delegates tuning in live via the internet or attending in person will hear breaking news, views and opinions exclusive to the conference, Sapenov said.
