Electronic Ink Enlists Veteran Government Executive to Spearhead and Streamline Client Initiatives

Naomi Wyatt, Esq. Joins the Technology Design Consultancy as Vice President, Client Strategy

PHILADELPHIA--()--Underscoring its dedication to helping clients maximize their technology investments through user adoption, Electronic Ink, a design consultancy dedicated to improving the way people interact with technology, environments and one another, has appointed veteran state government executive Naomi Wyatt as Vice President, Client Strategy. With an extensive background spanning human resources, management and planning, administration, IT planning and budgeting and law, Ms. Wyatt will lead client initiatives focused on realizing the promise of software through Design.

Prior to joining Electronic Ink, Ms. Wyatt spent four years with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. As Secretary of Administration in the Governor’s Office of Administration, she focused the OA team on increasing cost savings through enhanced IT service contracts, developing new opportunities for shared and consolidated services, improving agencies’ customer service skills, and testing agency and enterprise continuity of operations plans. Previously, as Deputy Secretary for Human Resources and Management and Executive Director of the Governor’s Office of Management and Productivity (OMP), she managed and implemented the Commonwealth’s human resource policies and procedures. She also was a key member of the Commonwealth's collective bargaining team, with responsibility for identifying potential cost savings and efficiencies for the Commonwealth.

During her tenure with the Commonwealth, Ms. Wyatt played instrumental roles in such major initiatives as IT Consolidation, completion of the Commonwealth’s 800 megahertz radio system, and enterprise diversity management. As the Secretary of Administration, she served on the Board of Trustees of the Pennsylvania Employee Benefits Trust Fund.

“Naomi’s diverse experience in driving customer service improvements and identifying process and cost efficiencies are real assets to our clients,” commented Harold Hambrose, CEO and founder of Electronic Ink. “Her ability to manage large, complex initiatives for organizations of all sizes, along with her bargaining and legal background, will translate into real value – especially as our engagements scale in terms of both size and complexity.”

“As more organizations identify the inherent design flaws in enterprise software, the scope and number of Electronic Ink’s client engagements continues to grow,” noted Wyatt. “As we address the usability issues plaguing business systems, there is an ongoing need to manage the associated costs and resources. I’m excited to apply the skills I’ve honed serving multiple departments in a large government to Electronic Ink’s client projects.”

Before joining the Pennsylvania Governor’s administration in 2006, Ms. Wyatt was employed as a litigation attorney in San Francisco and in Philadelphia. She received her undergraduate degree in English from Yale University, and spent two years teaching high school English in Mississippi as a Teach for America corps member. She later moved to Boulder, Colorado and earned her Juris Doctor Degree from the University of Colorado School of Law.

In addition to her work at Electronic Ink, Naomi currently serves on the Board of Trustees for the Independence Charter School (Philadelphia, PA) and is a board member for the Ben Franklin Technology Development Authority (Harrisburg, PA).
