Clearwire’s Super Fast Internet Access is Music to the Ears of South by Southwest Fans

Artists, Bloggers and Fans Will Benefit from Enhanced CLEAR 4G Network Coverage at the Annual Music, Film and Interactive Festival

SXSW 2010

AUSTIN, Texas--()--Clearwire Communications, LLC, an operating subsidiary of Clearwire Corporation and provider of the nation’s largest 4G network, today announced the enhancement of its CLEAR 4G network in Austin in anticipation of the thousands of visitors that will descend on the city for the annual South by Southwest (SXSW) festival. The CLEAR 4G network provides tech-savvy fans high-speed Internet access without the hassles of constrained 3G networks as has been experienced in the past at the popular music, film and interactive festival.

Visitors to this year’s SXSW festival can experience life in 4G when the CLEAR mobile showrooms arrive in Austin Mar. 17-20. The showrooms are outfitted as mobile studios and will feature live musical performances, webcasting and gaming all powered by CLEAR’s super fast mobile Internet technology, including laptops, Dell/Intel/Alienware video games, and webcasting equipment.

“This year’s festival goers can experience the full benefits of a truly mobile 4G broadband network, unlike in past years where the only available 3G networks were bogged down by increased volume generated by the influx of so many people to the Austin area,” said Keith Kay, director of regional sales and distribution for Clearwire in Texas. “In contrast, the CLEAR 4G network allows for much faster speeds and a richer customer experience as demonstrated in the mobile studios.”

The CLEAR Mobile Studio will host to an amazing lineup of bands and bloggers performing live and “unplugged” as they roll through the streets of Austin. All performances will be broadcast wirelessly over the super fast CLEAR 4G network. Go to http://clear-edge.mediascape.com/ to watch a live feed of all the action.

In addition, visitors can experience the latest in mobile gaming technology from CLEAR and Dell/Intel/Alienware at its Festival Village, located outside Waterloo Records.
