Vue Personal Video Network Now Shipping

Multi-Camera System Lets Consumers See Remotely Like Never Before

SAN DIEGO--()--The Vue™ personal video network is now shipping and is available for order on Amazon.com or VueZone.com. Launched in March at DEMO 09, the Vue has already received early rave reviews from media and technology enthusiasts for its simple set-up and wireless video streaming capabilities, allowing consumers to see their families and businesses from virtually anywhere.

The Vue system, which combines real-time remote video viewing and the Internet, is comprised of a network of small, battery-powered wire-free cameras. The miniature cameras stream real-time video directly to the Internet, viewable on all major browsers. An innovative ultra low-power patented technology called FrameMesh™ allows the cameras to operate for up to a year without changing the battery.

The Vue system is incredibly easy to set up. The Vue does not require users to load software, run messy power cords, or configure their home networks to operate. To view live video, users simply log onto their own password-protected online accounts on any PC or laptop. These feeds can also be recorded and shared with family or friends.

“Convenience, simplicity and affordability make the Vue a user-friendly product that allows families, friends and businesses the flexibility to stay connected without expensive or complex equipment,” said Gioia Messinger, founder and CEO of Avaak, the makers of the Vue. “Based on the excitement we have already received from early adopters, we believe the Vue personal video network is poised to become a product that consumers utilize on a daily basis to keep track of their homes and connect with their families from anywhere.”

Additional features of the Vue include:

  • The included “peel and stick” magnetic mounts allow the cameras to be installed in minutes and placed virtually anywhere. They also provide the flexibility to move cameras from room-to-room at a moment’s notice
  • Capacity to add more cameras to the network with the push of a button; the system supports up to 50 cameras
  • The ability to upload and share video or still images to popular social networking sites like YouTube and Flickr
  • Camera range of 300 feet range which can be extended with optional repeaters
  • Two gigabytes of online storage
  • One year battery life under normal use

The award-winning Vue personal video network is now available for $299 on Amazon.com. It can also be ordered on the Vue’s Web site at www.VueZone.com. The system comes with two cameras. Additional cameras can be purchased separately for $99.
