Wilshire Connection Adds Two New Buildings to Its Dark Fiber Metro Network in Los Angeles and Lights a New Route between Los Angeles and Las Vegas, NV

LOS ANGELES--()--Wilshire Connection, LLC (‘WILCON’), a leading metro fiber network provider in Los Angeles, announces today the extension of its dark fiber network in to two additional buildings in downtown Los Angeles located at 1200 West 7th St. (the Garland Building) and 900 N. Alameda St. , (the Wilshire Annex building). In addition to adding connectivity to these new buildings, WILCON has also lit a new network route providing both SONET and Ethernet transport between all of its Los Angeles network Points of Presence (PoPs) to Las Vegas, where the company has deployed a PoP at SwitchNAP, providing access to any of the SwitchNAP facilities throughout Las Vegas.

These network extensions bring WILCON’s metro dark fiber ring into nearly all major carrier hotel and colocation facilities in downtown Los Angeles providing network providers, carriers, service providers, enterprise and media companies a cost-effective, efficient metro transport solution. With WILCON’s additional route, network operators can now buy direct transport links to Las Vegas from any WILCON Los Angeles PoP, including 1200 West 7th Street and Wilshire Annex, One Wilshire, Carrier Center at 600 West 7th Street and from meet-me-room and data center operator facilities including Level 3, Equinix, Telx, Switch & Data, IX2, Telehouse and many others.
