NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP today announced that bankruptcy and restructuring partner Matthew A. Feldman has been selected to join the auto team at the Treasury Department advising Treasury Secretary Timothy F. Geithner and Lawrence H. Summers, the director of the National Economic Council, on reorganization efforts by the automobile manufacturers and their suppliers.

Mr. Feldman is a member of the firm's Executive Committee, and is one of the nation’s preeminent bankruptcy attorneys. His extensive experience includes representing all parties in bankruptcy proceedings including debtors, creditors, lenders and acquirers of assets. Mr. Feldman is presently lead counsel to Greatwide Logistics, Inc. in its chapter 11 case. Other significant chapter 11 cases he has handled recently include the complex chapter 11 cases of PG&E National Energy Group (now known as National Energy & Gas Transmission, Inc.) and Petroleum Geo Services ASA, among others.
Mr. Feldman will leave the firm by the end of March to start in his new position in Washington.
