Tuitalk Launches New Service Providing Free Mobile to Mobile International Calls

Tuitalk and Boingo are partnering to promote their complementary services: Free International Mobile Phone Calls and Mobile WiFi

Mobile World Congress 2009

BARCELONA, Spain--()--Tuitalk and Boingo have teamed up to promote the new Tuitalk mobile service. With Tuitalk’s mobile client, available for download at http://www.tuitalk.com, people will be able to make free international mobile-to-mobile phone calls over Wi-Fi networks to more than 40 countries.

At Mobile World Congress, Tuitalk announced the introduction of its mobile client to make free phone calls on Windows Mobile smartphones. To bring its users a great experience, Tuitalk has partnered with Boingo to allow consumers to get connected at more than 85,000 Boingo high-speed Wi-Fi hotspots around the world.

“Our goal is to provide free communications to as many people as possible. Offering the Windows Mobile client to our users is the next logical step towards this goal,” said Oguz Oktay, vice president of sales, Tuitalk. “This is also why we are partnering with Boingo. Boingo users, with their international access to the Internet, can sign up for Tuitalk and then they can make free phone calls from anywhere in the world to over 40 countries worldwide.”

To celebrate the launch of the Tuitalk mobile application, Boingo is providing Tuitalk users with one free month of its Boingo Mobile service. The Boingo Mobile software – a downloadable application for smartphones – simplifies the process of logging in to Wi-Fi hotspots, and gives users faster Wi-Fi connection speeds to do more.

“We are always looking for new partners to extend the Boingo brand and showcase the speed and ease-of-use of our service,” said Jonathan Mendelson, general manager of Mobile and Product Management. “Tuitalk’s mobile application is a great way to showcase Boingo Mobile’s Wi-Fi network – making free international calls on your Boingo Mobile smartphone or iPhone.”

Recently, Tuitalk added China, India, Malaysia, South Korea, Hong Kong and Singapore to its list of destinations where a user can make Tuitalk mobile-to-mobile calls. Previously, this feature was available in the United States and Canada. To make a free call on Tuitalk – either mobile or laptop – the user watches a short video advertisement.
