Former RSA Executive Robert Pritchard Joins Venafi Management Team

Former VP Sales to Lead Worldwide Sales Team

SANDY, Utah--()--Venafi, inventor of systems management for encryption, today announced that Robert Pritchard, former vice president of sales at RSA - The Security Division of EMC, has joined the company as vice president of worldwide sales, effective immediately. Pritchard will report directly to Venafi CEO Trell Rohovit.

With more than 20 years of progressive experience in information technology, Pritchard has deep knowledge of security and distributed computing environments. He most recently led the sales activities for RSA Securitys Data Security Group while focusing on data protection and government markets, regulatory compliance, product rationalization, new service offerings, team organization and training. He led the group to be the top quota performing RSA business for two straight years. Prior to joining RSA in 1999, Pritchard held various business development and sales positions within Gradient Technologies, Inc., a web security software company.

In his new position, Pritchard will be responsible for driving sales and go-to-market for Venafi products and services to ensure worldwide revenue objectives are achieved. He will also help define and establish selling processes, pipeline management techniques and sales reporting processes for managing day-to-day operations of direct and inside sales functions and opportunities as well as partner and channel relationships. Other responsibilities include:

  • Developing and managing all aspects of the sales team including defining necessary functions & resources, hiring and training staff, and managing the internal departmental budget.
  • Creation and on-going management of appropriate strategic business partner and channel relationships;
  • Initiating, negotiating, closing and managing new and existing customer relationships related to revenue generation.

The biggest challenge to the ever-growing use of encryption today is the management of itor lack of management, to put it more clearly, Pritchard said.
