EDMONTON, Alberta--(BUSINESS WIRE)--edatanetworks Inc. announced today that Ken Knowles has joined their Board of Directors, Canada. Since 1999 Mr. Knowles has served as President of Northlands, Edmonton’s largest events center, and has worked in the Exhibition industry since 1970. Northlands is a non-profit organization which hosts over 2,500 events and 3.5 million visitors every year, generating more than $342 million in direct spending annually.

Mr. Knowles is committed to giving back to the community, and currently serves as Chair of the Caritas Hospitals Foundation and is past-Chair of the 2006 United Way Campaign for the Capital Region. He is a member of the Edmonton Chamber of Commerce, former director of the McMan Youth Family and Community Services Association, and a former director of the Edmonton and Capital Region Tourism Partnership Council.
Mr. Knowles holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Calgary.
