LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Kabillion, the multi-platform kids’ entertainment service, has launched a new cross promotion with uWink, Inc. (OTCBB:UWKI), the popular new interactive restaurant that allows customers to order food, drinks, games and other digital media at their table through proprietary touch screen terminals. Under the agreement, uWink will offer new Kabillion-branded video games for kids, in addition to kids’ meals featuring characters from Kabillion’s animated programs, as well as high-quality toys and plush from Taffy Entertainment, the parent company of Kabillion.
The new Kabillion-branded kids promotion will kick off at uWink’s initial restaurant, located in Woodland Hills, CA and will be integrated into the new uWink restaurants scheduled to open in Hollywood and Mountain View, California in Spring 2008.
“The team at uWink has developed a restaurant concept unlike anything else in the marketplace,” explains Bill Schultz, CEO of Kabillion. “We wanted to become a promotional partner with them from the first visit to the restaurant and it’s a great opportunity to further expose the Kabillion brand to our targeted kid demographic, particularly as new restaurants open across the US.”
“Developing a promotional partnership with Kabillion is a great step forward for uWink because we share many of the same goals,” said Nolan Bushnell, CEO of uWink -- also a founder and former CEO of both Atari and Chuck E. Cheese. “Kabillion represents the future of entertainment and uWink is the future in dining. It’s an entertainment dining experience that can’t be had anywhere else.”
Kabillion is the multi-platform, kids’ entertainment program service launched in January 2007 and available both as a free video on-demand (VOD) channel and a free online broadband site (www.Kabillion.com). Part of The MoonScoop Group, a leading worldwide production, distribution, brand management and entertainment company, Kabillion offers high-quality animated and live-action kids’ series entertainment on both platforms. Kabillion is owned in part by Taffy Entertainment, East Coast-based REMIX Entertainment Ventures and Germany’s EM.Entertainment.
