Privaris Taps Jeff Wiebell as Senior Vice President, Enterprise Solutions

Wiebell to Leverage Twenty Years of Security Industry Expertise to Further Global Enterprise Adoption of Privaris plusID Personal Biometric Solutions

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va.--()--Privaris, a leading provider of personal, wireless identity verification solutions, today announced that it has expanded its executive team to welcome security industry veteran Jeff Wiebell as Senior Vice President, Enterprise Solutions. In this role, Wiebell is responsible for driving Privaris enterprise sales and adoption strategy in the United States as well as overseas.

Wiebell brings more than twenty years of experience in the integrated electronic security industry to Privaris, and has specialized in the design and implementation of high technology solutions that harden security while lowering clients costs and bringing a return on investment. Wiebell will leverage his deep expertise in biometric access and identity management systems to propel the continued adoption of Privaris plusID solutions in enterprise environments.

We are thrilled to have someone with Jeffs experience on board as large enterprises assess their physical and IT access solutions in light of todays growing compliance regulations and security threats, said John Petze, President and CEO, Privaris. plusID offers organizations a cost-effective biometric identity verification solution for both physical and IT access control that can literally be deployed overnight. Our unique market position coupled with Jeffs industry expertise will enable Privaris to capitalize on its full enterprise market potential.

Prior to joining Privaris, Wiebell ran large electronic security solutions teams at Johnson Controls, Pinkerton Systems (Securitas) and Sensormatic (Tyco). He has been the CEO and President of SenTech, an RF Electronic Asset Surveillance systems manufacturer, and owner operator of Secure View Systems, a top security solutions firm in Hawaii. Wiebell is also an international security expert recently advising the Chinese government on security technologies at a recent Olympic Security Summit in Beijing and Shanghai. He has worked with the top Columbian CSI Firm, assisted Accenture in connecting their security operations in India (Mumbai and Bangalore), and consulted business leaders on critical infrastructure security in London, Mexico City and Trinidad. In addition, Wiebell has worked in the Pentagon and provided advanced technology solutions to many U.S. government agencies.

Todays security landscape is comprised of both physical and network-based threats, so its important for enterprises to have an identity verification solution that meets a variety of needs, said Wiebell. plusID is one of the most innovative identity verification solutions on the market today, leveraging both wireless and biometric technology via a secure device that fits in your pocket, and provides both physical and logical access. Its personal and easy-to-deploy model places Privaris in prime position for market leadership, and makes me very excited about the opportunities that lie ahead.

The plusID family of solutions is tamper-resistant and built to withstand digital and physical attack, providing secure access to multiple facilities, computers and networks, and adding the heightened security of biometrics through a convenient and cost-effective delivery model. plusID allows for rapid integration by working seamlessly with existing physical and logical security systems, and ensures personal privacy by performing all biometric processing, including matching, on the user's personal device rather than an external database thereby eliminating the security issues surrounding lost or stolen cards and passwords.
