CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Exelon today announced that Chaka Patterson, 38, has been appointed vice president, investor relations. Patterson will begin in the role March 12, 2007 and assume full responsibility May 1, 2007, following a six-week transition.
Patterson currently serves on Exelon’s legal team as associate general counsel.
“Chaka brings a credentialed background and high energy to this role,” said Michael Metzner, senior vice president and treasurer, Exelon. “He has demonstrated strong leadership while at Exelon, and I am confident that he will do the same in his new role.”
Patterson will lead an investor relations team that serves as the primary interface with Exelon’s major institutional shareholders and Wall Street analysts.
Patterson joined Exelon in May 2006. He previously was chief of the Special Litigation Bureau in the Illinois attorney general’s office, and was a partner at Jenner & Block.
Patterson earned his bachelor’s degree in political science from Amherst College and his law degree from Harvard University.
Patterson will report to Metzner.
