WOODINVILLE, Wash.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Precor expands its choices of home gyms that combine functional and traditional resistance training, with the new S3.19 multi-station strength system.
In addition to featuring fixed-path motions to target specific muscles, the S3.19 provides a virtually unlimited range of free “functional” exercise movements.
On the traditional side, the S3.19 offers more than 25 fixed-plane exercises, featuring a Freedom Chest Press that offers machine-defined isolation motion, as well as user-defined functional motion. A leg extension platform with an adjustable three-roller support system that provides great comfort and support for leg-curl and leg–extension exercises.
Increasingly, functional training is being seen as optimal means of building strength, balance and coordination to improve a person’s ability both to perform daily activities, or sport-specific training. On the S3.19, a tower-and-pulley system easily allows users to functionally work the upper body, core or lower body, by simply setting the pulley location in one of 30 positions from floor to overhead, and attaching bars or straps.
“The S3.19 is a great fit for people who both understand the core benefits of functional training, and want to isolate muscle groups, but can’t dedicate a large space to strength training,” said Brent Brooks, director of marketing for Precor’s Consumer Division. “Beyond delivering a great workout, the S3.19’s contemporary design, titanium powder-coated steel frame and translucent weight-stack shrouds create a tasteful look for the home.”
Also, because the functional training pulley tower can be placed at either side of the central weight stack, the S3.19’s compact footprint can be customized to fit the room.
Standard accessories include 150-pound weight stack and array of bars and straps, including short-curl/triceps bar, wide lat bar, two-handed overhead ab strap, and single ankle loop with cable ring. An adjustable extended seat and seat back makes it simple for users to personalize their exercise starting position and level of support. A color wall chart provides step-by-step instructions for correct form on basic exercises.
An optional leg press features a floating footplate to ensure proper position for thigh, hamstring, glute, calf and ankle exercises.
Available in Precor dealer showrooms throughout North America, the S3.19 has a suggested retail price of $2,799. Suggested price on the optional leg press is $499, and 200-lb. heavy stack option is priced at $125. For more information on Precor dealers or products, visit www.precor.com.
