The awards were presented today at an awards luncheon during the NCDM annual conference at the Caribe Royal Resort in Orlando.
This year marks the third straight year in which Merkle has won an NCDM Excellence Award. In the Analytics and Modeling Applications category, Merkle received the Silver award for its work with 21st Century Insurance. In the Technological Applications category, Merkle won the Bronze award for its work with Dell, Inc. In 2005, Merkle won the Platinum Award, which is the highest honor awarded in the competition, for its work with Dell. In 2004, Merkle received a Silver Database Excellence Award in the Modeling Applications category for its work with GEICO.
Presented jointly by DIRECT Magazine and The Direct Marketing Association, the NCDM Database Excellence Awards honor organizations that have, according to the association, “demonstrated ingenuity and creativity in leveraging their marketing databases.” Contest entries were evaluated on the originality and success of the database marketing initiative.
