The Boston Junior Chamber of Commerce's 55th Annual Ten Outstanding Young Leader Awards

BOSTON--()--Aug. 1, 2006--The Boston Junior Chamber of Commerce (Boston Jaycees) will host its' annual black tie gala at the Colonnade Hotel, Boston, on September 21, 2006, to honor ten individuals ages 21 to 40 who have contributed to the Greater Boston community through their exceptional professional, civic, and personal achievements. The Ten Outstanding Young Leader (TOYL) award honorees were selected by a distinguished panel of judges from nominations submitted by the general public.

Past TOYL recipients include John F. Kennedy (1952), Bob Cousy (1957), F. Lee Bailey, Esq. (1965), Janet Langhart (1977), Leonard Zakim (1984), Roger Berkowitz (1987), Deborah Jackson (1991), John Valentin (1998), Heather Kahn (1999), Virginia Buckingham (2001), and Anthony Galluccio (2001).

Serena M. Powell - Executive Director, Community Work Services of Boston

John Tobin - Boston City Councillor, Boston City Council

Steven W. Wardell - Principal, Apeiron Partners LLC

John Werner - Executive Director, Boston, Citizen Schools
