Quest Software Caps Off Award-Winning First Half of 2006 with Multiple Wins at Microsoft Tech-Ed; Industry Awards Validate Growing Momentum in Key Market Areas

ALISO VIEJO, Calif.--()--June 21, 2006--Quest Software, Inc. (Nasdaq:QSFT) today announced that two of its products won awards at last week's Microsoft Tech-Ed in Boston, culminating a series of industry honors and recognition Quest products garnered in the first half of 2006. Quest Archive Manager was named Best Exchange Product in the "Attendees' Pick" award sponsored by MSD2D.com. Quest Spotlight on SQL Server Enterprise won the Best Database Development and Administration Product in the "Best of TechEd" competition, sponsored by Windows IT Pro and SQL Server Magazines.

-- Also in January, Quest LiteSpeed for SQL Server won the Gold award in the General Database and Utilities category, and Quest Group Policy Extensions for Desktops was chosen as the Gold winner in the Group Policy Management category of the annual TechTarget "Products of the Year" competition.

-- In May, Quest Migration Manager and the Quest Migration Suite for Active Directory and for Exchange won "Readers' Choice" awards from Redmond magazine.
